From the Book Jacket: Larry Dalrymple taught history at the secondary School level in Utah and California for twenty-five years. Interested in Native American arts and crafts from an early age, he began in to collect the work of basketmakers he knew, with the specific objective of identifying the artist with his or her work. That lead to articles in many fiberarts publications and finally to my first book on basketry design and technique, “Wicker Basketry” (). A second book, “Contemporary Wicker Basketry”, followed eight years later. I’ve also co-authored a book with Vladimir Yarish, a Russian basketmaker. All of the art objects inside this book are structures, but I wouldn't call them all baskets. I would find this book more appealing if somebody had decided on a structure for it.
